20th Annual Farrier's Appreciation Day a Success! Saturday, April 25th provided a beautiful sunny warm day for the 150+ farriers from eight states who came out to enjoy our farm, blacksmith shop, and store for our 20th Annual Farrier Appreciation Day. The day was full of things to do and see, with local farriers working metal on the old coal forge in the blacksmith shop, discounted shopping in our 10,000 square foot store, vendor displays and demonstrations, a great catered lunch, and an informative presentation by clinician, Chris Gregory.

This day would not be possible each year without the support of many of our vendors. A very special thank-you goes out to Delta Mustad Hoofcare Products, Inc., for sponsoring the event this year. Also to the vendors who were able to attend in person to display their products and visit with our farriers. Every year we like to be able to send each farrier home with a doorprize or sample item, and this is made possible by the generous vendors who send these donations to us.

Our clinician this year, Chris Gregory, CJF, of Heartland Horseshoeing School in Missouri, did a great presentation on "Basic Horseshoeing Principles." We received  many comments from the farriers on how much they learned from Chris's presentation. The clinic included a Power Point presentation, a lecture/discussion, assessment and analysis of a live horse, and a live shoeing demonstration.

We want to send out a big thank-you to all who made this year's event a huge success. If you were not able to make it to this year's event, please make plans to attend next year! Click on the pictures below to see some pictures from the event.
